STEFKA ASENOVA

Consultant

Stefka holds a PhD in Statistics from UCLouvain, Belgium, with a focus on Extreme Value Theory and its application to multivariate models with interdependent variables. She also earned an MSc in Actuarial Sciences and Quantitative Finance and a BSc in Economics and Econometrics, both from Tilburg University, The Netherlands.

In 2016, Stefka was awarded the prestigious Johan de Witt Prize by the Royal Dutch Actuarial Society for her Master’s thesis, which applied univariate Extreme Value Theory to Value-at-Risk (VaR) estimations.

Stefka has experience in advisory roles within actuarial consulting and gained research and teaching experience during her PhD tenure at UCLouvain.

She is fluent in English and French and possesses an intermediate proficiency in Dutch.
